| What is Art Therapy? Art Therapy is a process of psychotherapy and education where art is used as an interactive medium. With dynamic interaction, the therapist helps the client to express their inner life in a non-verbal way. In this way, you are able to recognise your own questions about your life and gain more insight into your biographical development. Therefore, your artwork is seen as a mirror of your conscious and unconscious process. Repressive /suppressive feelings, thoughts and behaviour can be observed and processed in order to arrive at a more positive attitude towards yourself and your life. |

The process of Art Therapy makes its own dynamics and therefore there can be no fixed program. During therapy, new insights arise and need to be integrated. This is achieved by means of special exercises and techniques. During therapy I use guided visualisation, role-play, painting, drawing, collage, papier maché, ceramics and if necessary, some bodywork. Artistic skills are not required for this therapy. |
